The snooker rankings were first introduced in 1976. Welshman Ray Reardon was on top the first few years, but the 80's were dominated by Steve Davis. He was No. 1 from 1983 to 1989. Stephen Hendry was equally dominating in the 90's, holding the top spot from 1990 to 1997. He managed to regain the position in 2006. From 2012/2013 to 2018/2019 Mark Selby was on top before first Ronnie O'Sullivan and then Judd Trump took over. Here is the ranking history of the top 32 in the 2021/2022 World Rankings (end of previous season). Former top 16 players have also been included. |
