Ranking History
|
The snooker rankings were first introduced in 1976. Welshman Ray Reardon was on top the first few
years, but the 80's were dominated by Steve Davis. He was No.
1 from 1981 to 1989. Stephen Hendry was equally
dominating in the 90's, and he held the top spot from 1990 to 1997. He managed to regain the position in 2006. Right now his fellow Scot John Higgins is on top. Here is the ranking
history of the top 32 in the 2007/2008 World Rankings. The other
players who have visited the top 16 in this period have also been included.
