There are currently more than 500 professional players around. John Higgins is the number one in the current world rankings, but Stephen Hendry, the great Scottish star, isn't too far away in second spot. Jimmy White is the people's favourite. (will he ever win that world title..?). Also look out for young Ronnie O'Sullivan, referred to by Barry Hearn as my insurance.
